A University of Tokyo startup is seeking a Lead Full Stack / PM to lead technology selection and team building. The role involves hands-on development using 3D and AI technologies to automate manufacturing design processes and preserve expert knowledge, aiming to increase productivity tenfold.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of practical experience in desktop application development
- Knowledge or experience in web development technologies
- 1+ year of experience as an engineering team leader, product lead, or project manager
- Ability to autonomously think about issues, plan, and execute quickly
- Strong communication skills to understand both business and technical aspects and collaborate with other departments
Nice-to-haves
- Practical experience in CAD plug-in/add-in development (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk products)
- Knowledge and implementation experience in 3D processing, image processing, AI/ML
- Experience in engineering management/leadership (technology selection, architecture design, code review, member development/evaluation)
- Experience in establishing organizations and participating in engineer recruitment
- Experience in building and operating Agile/Scrum development processes
- Full-stack system development and operation experience
- Background in Computer Science (e.g., CS major, competitive programming, advanced math/algorithms)
- Experience in startups or DeepTech companies

Work style
Full flex system with core hours from 11:00 to 16:00. Location: Tokyo Head Office.
Other notes
Salary: 8,000,000 - 14,000,000 JPY per year. Includes base salary and fixed overtime pay for 20 hours. Bonuses twice a year. 3-month trial period.
