Kaushe is seeking its first dedicated Data Scientist to drive recommendation KPIs using high-density data from their discovery EC app, which has 7 million downloads and high user engagement. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for data analysis, hypothesis building, model implementation, and performance validation.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, hypothesis building, and proposing measures independently (excluding PoCs or internal services).
- Experience in designing and selecting features within a business context.
- Experience designing, conducting, and validating A/B tests, and designing offline evaluations.
- Experience implementing machine learning models using Python (able to write and run models, not just analyze).
- Experience with data analysis and statistical analysis using SQL and Python.
- Ability to lead prioritization and decision-making for measures in collaboration with Product Managers.
- Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1 or higher is required for advanced communication.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in data analysis and personalization within the EC, social media, or gaming domains.
- Experience improving business KPIs in a production environment with millions of MAU.
- Experience designing and tuning recommendation models.
- Experience addressing cold-start problems (new users/items).
- Experience mentoring or training team members.
