Athena Technologies is seeking new graduate Machine Learning Engineers to develop AI systems for businesses. You will apply AI/ML knowledge gained from academia or personal projects to real-world business challenges, working on the entire development lifecycle from problem definition to production deployment and improvement.
Must-haves
- Expected to graduate from university, graduate school, or college of technology.
- Programming experience with Python.
- Basic knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, statistics, and mathematics.
- Experience implementing machine learning models (from coursework, research, internships, or personal projects).
- Ability to explain your work, experimental results, and technical choices.
- Basic experience with Git/GitHub.
- Fluent Japanese communication skills for business.
- Ability to work full-time (8 hours/day, 5 days/week).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Generative AI/LLMs.
- Experience in image recognition, natural language processing, time-series forecasting, or mathematical optimization.
- Implementation experience using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-Learn.
- Experience developing web applications or APIs.
- Experience with cloud services like AWS or GCP.
- Experience building development environments with Docker.
- Experience in joint research or team development.
- Experience with academic presentations, paper writing, Kaggle, or data analysis competitions.
