Chatwork is seeking an SRE Engineering Manager to lead their SRE team, which supports a business communication platform used by over 970,000 companies. This role involves people management, technical strategy, and driving reliability and scalability for existing services and new AI-driven businesses.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of engineering management experience (people management, evaluations, etc.)
- Experience in hiring, developing engineers, and resolving organizational issues
- Experience designing, building, and operating systems in public cloud environments like AWS
- Experience operating infrastructure using Kubernetes or deep knowledge of container technologies
- Understanding and experience promoting SRE practices (SLI/SLO, toil reduction, postmortems, etc.)
- Ability to integrate AI into editors/IDEs for code completion/generation and understand/improve prompts for generative AI
Nice-to-haves
- Experience managing development/operation of SaaS products handling large traffic
- Experience designing, migrating, and operating microservice architectures
- Experience managing new organizations or rapidly growing engineering teams
- Backend development experience as a software engineer
- Experience designing monitoring and building/operating data analysis platforms for observability
