We at Jutaku Tech Lab are a startup born to solve long-standing issues in the real estate industry with data and products. We currently have 6 full-time employees and approximately 10 people including contractors.
■Background of Recruitment
The business phase is from Seed to Early stage. We are entering a phase of increasing the number of subscribers for our subscription-based services.
Our CEO, Kaji, has about 10 years of experience in providing operational support and consulting for real estate management companies. The industry connections and on-the-ground knowledge built during this time have been the driving force behind our continuous collaborations with major industry players since our founding. Since our inception, we have offered sales support services such as owner list creation and rent appraisal, and have already been used by over 100 real estate companies. In the past year alone, we have advanced collaborations with key industry players, including being featured in JPM (Japan Property Management Association), API integration with GMO Chintai DX Owner App, business partnerships with JAXA-originating startup WHERE, and with House Do Housing Sales. We are now in a phase aiming for 300 companies within the year and market share acquisition within three years.
While sales and industry collaborations have been steadily progressing, our product development capabilities—technical judgment and implementation drive—have not kept pace with business growth. With a small team of one full-time engineer and one contractor, the lack of core personnel to support this is currently our biggest management challenge.
This position aims to hire someone who will take on both technical and organizational leadership as a core member.
■Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for development and operations across two products: the rent appraisal service (Laravel / PHP) and the data infrastructure development (Python). Based on business progress, you will make decisions on what to build, what to refactor, and what to postpone, from both technical and organizational perspectives.
The main theme for the current phase is "continuous improvement of appraisal accuracy," and the core of your work will be to enhance accuracy across the data infrastructure and the product side. In parallel, you will be responsible for decision-making on both technical and organizational aspects, including reviewing existing code and defining requirements and architecture for new services.

We anticipate you will start by grasping the current situation and organizing priorities, focusing on areas such as:
* Functional development and appraisal accuracy improvement for the rent appraisal service (refining appraisal logic, enhancing visualization of supporting data, improving UI/UX, etc.)
* Data infrastructure development, handling new information sources, and improving normalization logic (addresses/facilities/layouts/prices, etc.)
* Product improvements based on customer feedback from sales and customer success teams.

* Agreement with the business department on priorities for short- to mid-term development plans.
* Version upgrades for existing products' languages and frameworks.
* Design and operation of an AI-driven development system (Skills / Hooks / ADR, etc.).
* Establishment of a code review culture and documentation culture.
* Design for onboarding new members.
* Validation of the technical stack's appropriateness and replacement of languages/frameworks/infrastructure as needed.
* Upstream processes for new services (requirements definition, architecture design, technology selection, etc.).

* Design, construction, and operation of Microsoft Azure.
* Design of recruitment, training, and evaluation systems.
* Introduction and operation of agile development processes.
* To design and operate development processes suitable for the current organizational size, enabling short-cycle reflection of customer feedback from sales/CS and appraisal accuracy verification results into development.
* Planning and launch of new services in collaboration with the business and management departments.

While we have an ongoing AI rent appraisal product, the development organization is at a near-blank slate stage with only one full-time employee and one contractor. You can participate at this unique phase, not quite a seed stage where the product is non-existent, nor a large corporation with a complete organization, and be at the starting point for decision-making as part of the "organization building" team.
■【2】Design the Development Organization from the Ground Up
We provide the top-tier plan "Claude Code Max" from Anthropic to all engineers at the company's expense. Internal know-how, code review perspectives, procedures for adding new information sources, test execution flows, and document consistency checks are already coded under `.claude/skills/`. We are operating quality gates with Hooks, accumulating decision-making with ADR, and integrating Notion/Figma with MCP.
You will gain experience in designing and operating mechanisms to make AI a standard within the organization, starting from a near-empty development state. This is a phase where you can actively work on not just tool implementation, but also on rules, quality gates, and documentation systems.
■【3】Discretion in Language Selection and Architecture Decisions
We have a culture where detailed design and implementation decisions are left to the engineers. Adjustments to deadlines and specifications are easily managed at the engineer's discretion, and new AI tools/libraries/services can be introduced based on the team's judgment if they pose no security risks. While our current stack is PHP/Laravel, we do not believe in sticking with Laravel indefinitely just because it's what's written now.
You will experience minimal stress from "being unable to move due to waiting for approval" or "my desired improvements not being accepted." Your speed of decision-making directly translates to the team's speed, making it a great fit for those who want to achieve results autonomously.
■【4】Close Proximity to Business Side Communication
Although fully remote, we interact daily with Customer Success and Sales via Slack and online meetings, with no barriers between engineers and the business side. In our weekly all-hands meetings, we share development status, sales progress, customer feedback gathered by CS, and overall company sales figures with everyone.
You will gain experience in collaboratively building specifications from on-the-ground issues, rather than just "building what you're told."

The entire onboarding process is completed remotely. On-site meetings are only held once per quarter to once every six months (travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the company).
