We are seeking a Language Engineer to design and implement a multi-language analysis platform for financial legacy code. You will be a core member of the team developing our product, Trust TLanP, aiming to evolve it into a language-independent modernization platform.
Must-haves
- Practical experience in programming language processing (e.g., parser implementation, AST manipulation, static analysis, code transformation)
- Design and implementation experience with Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) or Intermediate Representations (IR)
- Understanding of syntax and type systems for multiple programming languages
- Experience analyzing and refactoring large codebases
- Communication skills to articulate design principles and discuss with other engineers
Nice-to-haves
- Compiler development experience (frontend, IR, optimization)
- Experience implementing Program Analysis (static analysis, data flow analysis, dependency analysis)
- Experience analyzing/transforming legacy languages (e.g., COBOL, PL/I)
- Experience with parser generators (e.g., ANTLR) or custom parser implementation
- Experience in code understanding/generation using LLMs
- Systematic knowledge of programming language theory

Work style
Full flex-time (no core hours, flexible hours 5:00-22:00) or professional duty-based discretionary labor system. Standard working hours: 8 hours. Location: Tokyo (Chuo-ku). Remote work possible from various locations including client sites and home.
Other notes
Annual salary range: 10,000,000 JPY to 25,000,000 JPY. Trial period: 3 months (no change in conditions).
