AiCAN is developing a GovTech SaaS to support professionals at child consultation centers and child and family centers, aiming to create a safer world for children. As the business grows, they are looking to transition their product and technical infrastructure to the next stage. This role involves modernizing the existing service, resolving technical debt, and evolving the product to handle large-scale deployments.
Must-haves
- Experience in designing, developing, and operating web services (including backend) and cloud environments.
- Experience in architecture design, technology selection, and improving existing services with technical debt.
- Experience in team software development and requirements/specification definition in collaboration with Product Managers.
- Experience in technical leadership and code reviews for engineers.
- Must be willing to work onsite initially, with potential for 1 day remote after 6 months and domain knowledge acquisition.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience developing and scaling large-scale (hundreds of thousands to millions of users) or mission-critical web services.
- Experience as a Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, VPoE, or CTO, including engineer hiring and organizational development.
- Experience with PHP migration, Vue.js, GCP (Cloud Run/GKE/Docker), monolith migration, CI/CD, and RDB (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Experience in domains handling sensitive information and high security requirements (GovTech, HealthTech, etc.).

Work style

Other notes
Salary: 10,000,000 - 15,000,000 JPY per year (Monthly salary 833,000 - 1,250,000 JPY). Probation period: 3 months.
