ContractS is seeking a Backend Engineer to develop and deploy "ContractS CLM," Japan's leading Contract Lifecycle Management system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design and implement APIs, and improve application architecture. The role involves contributing to product growth by leveraging contract data and integrating with enterprise systems.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of experience developing and operating business web applications of a certain scale
- Experience developing with agile methodologies
Nice-to-haves
- Practical development experience with modern Java (8+)
- Experience integrating multiple systems
- Basic understanding of Clean Architecture and Onion Architecture
- Experience in software development management for BtoB SaaS products
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design and domain modeling
- Experience designing processing methods such as asynchronous messaging
- Understanding of query tuning, security, etc.
- Experience refactoring from legacy to modern systems

Work style
Onsite in Tokyo or Nagano. Flextime system (core hours: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
Other notes
Annual salary: 5.5 million - 8.0 million JPY. Includes a fixed overtime allowance equivalent to 40 hours. Reviewed twice a year. Probationary period: 6 months.
