We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our cross-product design system, Aegis. The goal is to improve UI quality, accessibility, and development efficiency, creating a robust foundation for product teams to deliver value quickly and reliably.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of web application development experience
- Frontend development experience with TypeScript/React
- Understanding of component design, API design, state management, testing, and Storybook
- Basic understanding of design systems and accessibility
- Ability to assess quality, maintainability, and impact through code and design reviews
- Communication skills to align on prerequisites, constraints, and priorities with business units and other teams
- Willingness to incorporate AI Coding Agents into practical work and continuously improve rules, samples, and documentation
- Ability to connect individual solutions to documentation, automation, and systemic improvements
Nice-to-haves
- Experience developing/operating design systems or common UI foundations
- Experience using/operating internal design systems like Aegis/Aegis Lab
- Experience implementing common foundations or automating operational tasks
- Experience with prototype foundation automation, template adherence, and sample code maintenance
- Experience with accessibility improvements, design reviews, and UI guideline development
- Practical understanding of Chromatic, Renovate, releases, and version management
- Experience measuring and improving design system usage and quality metrics
- Experience managing stakeholders across multiple products or teams

Work style

Salary: 7.7 million - 15 million JPY (based on experience and skills). Employment type: Full-time employee. Probationary period: 3 months. Overtime work is permitted. Work hours: Full flex with no core hours or discretionary labor system. Paid holidays: 120+ days per year.
