Develop and operate APIs that support the iOS/Android app for Japan's largest crowdsourcing service, 'crowdworks.jp'. This role is key to transitioning the app development team to an in-house, engineer-led structure, aiming to accelerate development speed and quality.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of professional development experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with RDBMS (MySQL) performance tuning (EXPLAIN analysis, index design, N+1 problem detection/resolution)
- Experience refactoring large, long-term maintained codebases
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with schema-driven development using OpenAPI (Swagger)
- Experience operating large MySQL tables (online DDL, zero-downtime migration)
- Experience designing/operating asynchronous processing/job systems (delayed_job, Sidekiq, SQS+Shoryuken)
- Experience operating search infrastructure (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch)
- Experience with push notification systems (FCM, APNs, AWS SNS)
- Experience implementing authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT)
- Experience with monitoring/incident response using Datadog/Rollbar
- Knowledge of AWS (ECS/Fargate) and Terraform

Salary: 5,000,000 - 7,500,000 JPY (based on experience). Semi-annual salary reviews. Potential for stock options. Side business allowed.
