FastLabel is establishing a new robotics AI business unit and is seeking an engineer to lead AI model development and technical verification for robotics AI projects. This role will contribute to the growth of the physical AI industry in Japan by developing data infrastructure for robotics AI.
Must-haves
- Practical experience developing with Python
- Development experience in a Linux environment
- Team development experience using Git/GitHub
- Environment construction experience using container technologies like Docker
- Development and operation experience using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
- Experience implementing machine learning/deep learning (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
- Communication skills to align technical requirements with stakeholders
- Problem-solving ability to independently derive solutions through research and hypothesis testing
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with VLA (Vision-Language-Action) models
- Familiarity with architectures like OpenVLA, RT-2, GR00TN1.5, Pi05
- Knowledge of efficient training/inference methods for large models
- Experience with robotics simulators (NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo)
- Experience with robot navigation (Nav2) or manipulation (MoveIt2)
- Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, WandB)
- Experience handling robotics datasets (Open X-Embodiment)

Work style
Onsite in Tokyo (Shinjuku or Heiwajima), or client sites in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Flexible work hours (5:00-22:00) with core hours (10:00-14:00).
Other notes
Annual salary: 6,000,000 - 14,999,999 JPY. Monthly salary: 500,000 - 1,250,000 JPY (includes fixed overtime and late-night allowances).
