The AI Lab at freee is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and evaluate new products using LLMs and AI Agents. You will contribute to core technologies that automate routine tasks and support data-driven decision-making for freee's services.
Must-haves
- Understanding and practical experience in physics, mathematics (including statistics), and machine learning (student research acceptable).
- Skills in surveying and catching up on new technologies.
- Experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience introducing new ideas into products.
- Experience developing end-user applications.
Nice-to-haves
- Development, evaluation, and operation using LLM and AI Agent related technologies.
- Interest in FDE (Forward Deployed Engineering / Foundation Data Engineering etc.) fields.
- Experience developing and operating large-scale web services.
- Experience optimizing service costs and performance.
- Experience implementing image processing and DNN-based OCR technology.
- Experience building large-scale data processing and MLOps infrastructure.
- Knowledge of back-office operations such as accounting and payroll.

Salary: Monthly ¥668,000 - ¥1,001,000 (Annual ¥8,000,000 - ¥12,000,000). Probationary period of 3 months. Discretionary labor system (deemed 10 hours and 15 minutes of work per day).
