ELYZA is developing Physical AI by connecting Large Language Models (LLMs) to the physical world. This role focuses on the social implementation of Physical AI by integrating AI models with robot hardware and systems, leading tasks from hardware definition to software development and on-site implementation.
Must-haves
- Mechatronics expertise and practical problem-solving skills
- Experience in robot control program development using Python or C++ in a Linux environment
- Practical ROS2 experience for building robot systems
- Understanding of basic machine learning concepts and eagerness to discuss AI/deep learning
Nice-to-haves
- Mechanical design and embedded control experience (e.g., student robot competitions)
- Experience leading projects from PoC to commercial operation
- 3D CAD design and 3D printing prototyping experience
- Low-level embedded development experience (motor control, microcontrollers)
- Experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or deep learning for robot control
- Field experience in robot implementation, setup, and troubleshooting

Work style
Full remote work is possible, but residence must be within Japan. Employees can choose to work from the Head Office in Tokyo or remotely. There are no strict rules on office attendance, with designated days to encourage communication.
