Chura Data is seeking Systems Engineers to leverage their development experience to independently drive projects from requirements definition to operation. You will contribute to customer problem-solving with system engineering skills in areas like Generative AI/RAG apps, data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery), and web app operations on AWS/GCP/Azure.
Must-haves
- 3-5 years of system development experience from requirements definition to operation
- Application/batch development experience using languages like Python
- Technical knowledge of DWH products (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) or RDBMS sufficient for query tuning and troubleshooting
- Infrastructure/app development and operation experience on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Communication skills for smooth negotiation and coordination with clients and internal teams
- Business-level Japanese communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Experience leading architecture design and technology selection for cloud web apps, data platforms, or generative AI apps
- Experience with requirements definition, architecture design, and implementation of systems using Generative AI/LLM (RAG, agents, chatbots)
- Experience designing and building data platforms using Snowflake/Databricks/dbt/BigQuery
- Experience building and operating IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Experience with non-functional requirements definition, security/privilege design, and operational/SLA design
- Experience leading project management, PMO, and progress/issue management using Backlog/Jira/GitHub
- Experience leading test planning, test design, and integration/system testing
- Experience with security and compliance in financial, telecommunications, or energy industry systems
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development (including Scrum Master/PO roles)
- Experience developing with Agentic Coding tools (e.g., Claude Code)
- Ability to read English documentation and papers in the Generative AI field

Work style
Nationwide remote work is possible within Japan. Some travel for business may be required. The office is located in Okinawa.

Annual salary: ¥5,500,000 - ¥10,000,000. Probationary period: 3 months (no change in conditions).
