ChuraData is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead multiple projects and teams, acting as a Tech Lead, PM, or PMO. You will be responsible for technical selection, proposal, and PoC design for client business challenges, as well as architecture design, operation, and maintenance. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers and contributing to knowledge accumulation within a super flat organization.
Must-haves
- 5-10 years of experience in system development, operation, and maintenance from requirements definition to production.
- Experience leading multiple projects/teams as PM/PMO.
- Experience leading architecture design and technology selection (Web apps on cloud, data platforms, or generative AI apps).
- Experience in client negotiation, proposal creation, and scope adjustment.
- Experience designing, building, and operating on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Business-level Japanese communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Generative AI/LLMOps architecture design.
- Experience designing data mesh/data platforms using Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, BigQuery, etc.
- Experience owning SLA design, operational design, and incident response flows.
- Experience with security and compliance in financial, telecommunications, energy, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience mentoring, hiring, and evaluating engineers.
- Ability to read English technical documents and papers.

Work style
Nationwide remote work is possible within Japan. Approximately half of the employees reside outside Okinawa. Relocation to Okinawa is welcome. Specific skills may be required for remote work.
Other notes
Annual salary: ¥9,000,000 - ¥16,000,000. Specialized discretionary labor system with a deemed working time of 10 hours per day. Average monthly overtime: 10.1 hours.
