Chura Data is seeking Web Application Engineers to join their professional team, focusing on data and AI-driven contract development. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of web development, from requirements definition and design to construction and operation, with a growing emphasis on integrating generative AI/LLMs into web applications.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of web development programming experience
- Recent web development programming experience within the last year
- Experience with a web application framework (e.g., Ruby on Rails, FastAPI, Spring Framework, Laravel)
- Experience with virtual DOM libraries like React or frameworks like Hotwire
- Knowledge of web application authentication and security
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience developing with Agentic Coding tools (e.g., Claude Code)
- Project leadership or client-facing experience involving requirements gathering
- Business-level Japanese communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- AI/LLM integration development (e.g., generative AI/LLM APIs, RAG applications)
- Experience with chat UI and streaming display implementation
- Data infrastructure integration (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt)
- Team development experience (code reviews, pair programming)
- Ability to read technical documentation in English
- Project management experience, especially for B2B development

Work style
Nationwide remote work is possible within Japan. Employees can choose to work from the office or remotely to maximize productivity. Approximately half of the employees reside outside of Okinawa.
Other notes
Annual salary: ¥5,500,000 - ¥10,000,000. This is a full-time position. Probationary period of 3 months with no change in conditions.
