LayerX's Bakuraku business is expanding its AI agent services for back-office automation. As a DBRE, you will join the SRE team to enhance the reliability, performance, and safety of the data store layer across multiple products, collaborating with development teams to address challenges from discovery to operation.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of experience as an SRE or DevOps engineer
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale services
- Experience with performance tuning and high-availability configurations for MySQL/Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
- Experience identifying and resolving performance issues or failures by understanding queries, indexes, execution plans, and locks
- Experience designing web service infrastructure architecture, including data stores
- Experience with Policy as Code using tools like Conftest
- Experience developing and operating web application infrastructure on public clouds like AWS
- Experience developing and operating infrastructure using IaC with tools like Terraform
- Experience designing and operating monitoring systems using tools like Prometheus or SaaS like Datadog
Nice-to-haves
- Experience designing and implementing safe schema changes, data migration, version upgrades, backup/restore, and failover
- Experience with database monitoring, observability, load testing, and capacity planning using tools like Datadog or Performance Insights
- Experience designing and operating SLI/SLO/SLA
