We are seeking an Operations Improvement Engineer to rebuild our sustainable operational foundation. You will be responsible for dismantling and visualizing legacy systems, developing internal management tools, and creating standardized procedures. The role involves leveraging AI, including generative AI like Claude and Gemini, to automate and systematize operations.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of experience in web application development and operations/maintenance
- Development experience in a backend language
- Basic knowledge and operational experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, etc.)
- Ability to investigate and analyze code and infrastructure configurations without existing documentation
- Strong motivation to automate and systematize manual tasks and inefficient processes
Nice-to-haves
- Experience creating scripts or developing internal web tools for operational efficiency
- Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures
- Experience supporting high-difficulty inquiries from customer support
- Experience standardizing operational procedures and documenting system configurations
- Experience promoting phased replacement or refactoring of legacy systems
- Experience in client work, such as with SI vendors

Work style
Hybrid/Remote work is generally selectable. Engineers use a discretionary labor system, allowing flexible work hours for appointments or picking up children, within team coordination. Location: Tokyo (Shibuya-ku).
Other notes
Annual salary: ¥6,000,000 - ¥7,800,000. Probationary period: 3 months (no change in conditions).
