mikan is launching a full-scale web platform to complement its 10 million+ download English learning app. This role will lead the development of the web version from scratch, expanding the learning experience beyond the app and establishing new business foundations. You will be the first dedicated front-end engineer for this initiative.
Must-haves
- Practical experience in web front-end development
- Experience developing web applications using TypeScript
- Experience developing rich user interfaces using React or equivalent UI libraries/frameworks
- Practical understanding of web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, browser APIs)
- Experience in team development using tools like GitHub
Nice-to-haves
- Experience launching new web services or expanding existing products to the web
- Experience developing with modern web application frameworks (Next.js, Remix, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Astro)
- Knowledge of web application architectures (SPA, MPA, SSR, SSG, CSR)
- Experience in technology selection, architecture design, and development strategy formulation
- Experience collaborating with designers and implementing UIs with consideration for design intent and UI quality
- Experience in performance optimization, accessibility improvement, and SEO improvement

Work style
