Idein is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to develop cutting-edge algorithms for processing real-world data on their edge AI/IoT platform, Actcast. You will lead algorithm development, from requirements definition to verification, contributing to the company's mission of making real-world information processable by software.
Must-haves
- Master's degree in science/engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of practical experience in machine learning, especially deep learning
- Experience developing technologies for processing real-world data (images, point clouds, audio)
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries/frameworks
- Proven experience leading multi-person projects
- Native-level Japanese proficiency
Nice-to-haves
- Ph.D. in science/engineering
- Experience in domain application of ML technologies
- Experience in projects requiring external collaboration
- Project management experience
- Knowledge in image processing, computer vision, or computer graphics
- Development experience on edge devices (e.g., Raspberry Pi)
