Kurashiru is seeking a Backend Architect for its rapidly growing ReciChare service, which leverages first-party purchase data and AI to transform the retail industry. The role involves leading system re-architecture and technical decision-making while continuing daily feature development.
Must-haves
- Experience leading system design and architectural decision-making.
- 5+ years of server-side development, API design, and operational experience for web services or mobile applications.
- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (design and operation).
- Experience designing for performance improvement and scalability.
- Experience in agile development.
Nice-to-haves
- Cloud infrastructure design, construction, and operational experience (AWS).
- Infrastructure construction and management experience using IaC (Terraform).
- CI/CD pipeline construction and operational experience (GitHub Actions).
- System design and improvement experience considering scalability, availability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Team technical support and mentoring experience in a Tech Lead or equivalent role.

Work style

Estimated annual salary: 9.5 million JPY ~ negotiable (including biannual bonuses). Probationary period: 3 months (extendable up to 6 months).
