CULUMU is an inclusive design studio that co-creates businesses and services with diverse stakeholders to solve social issues. They are looking for a Design Engineer to be involved from the initial concept stage through to implementation and prototyping.
Must-haves
- Experience with both design (UI/UX, Information Architecture) and implementation.
- Ability to think from the user's/stakeholder's perspective and create tangible outcomes.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid model with at least 2 days/week in the Tokyo office.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in upstream UX strategy and research.
- Experience applying new technologies like Generative AI and XR to experiences and products.
- Facilitation experience in client work/workshops.
- Experience presenting work in academic or industry settings.
- Engineer with user interview experience, or designer who can implement.

Work style
Hybrid work available (at least 2 days/week in the Tokyo office is desirable). Standard working hours: 8 hours/day with core hours from 11:00 to 16:00. Includes 45 hours of overtime per month.
Other notes
Annual salary: ¥6,000,000 - ¥8,000,000. Includes 6 months of probation.
