UPSIDER is a Tokyo-based fintech company seeking a Platform Engineer to lead their platform engineering efforts. The Platform Team builds and maintains the secure, reliable infrastructure that all engineers depend on, including release pipelines and cloud networking.
Must-haves
- Proficiency in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
- Production experience operating Kubernetes clusters
- Experience operating workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform
- Strong GitOps practices
- Comfortable with GitHub-based workflows
- Solid understanding of Cloud Native patterns
- Familiarity with information security fundamentals
Nice-to-haves
- SRE experience (SLOs, error budgets, incident management)
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools
- Experience with Istio or other service meshes
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or Tempo
- Experience managing databases, caches, or object storage
- Experience with cloud networking (VPNs, firewalls, load balancers)
